It's not easy, and sometimes it's not possible, but it is at the forefront of many people's minds.

How do I break free?

I am part of the machine; it has grown around me and holds me in place. it binds me, it controls my thoughts and controls what I do every second of every day. My mind lives in the past and is forced to focus on the future, forced to focus on getting to the next task allocated to me in the time that has been allocated to me. All the time I am forced away from the NOW forces away from what is important.

It is time. I can see the NOW. I can feel the loosening of the bonds. I am starting to think for myself.

This piece of artwork is very meaningful for me, in that it is one of the first I did and unknown to me it was packed full of the feelings of the NOW.

It remains one of my favourite pieces of artwork.
