The moon was a big part of my time spent in Baja on this trip. As I drove down the pacific coast, the moon slowly waxed as it hovered over the ocean.
By the time I crossed into Mexico, the moon was shining brightly and at its fullest. It was strange because this giant orb was around during the day time, quietly existing with the sun. When darkness fell, it hung directly above like ceiling light.
This felt eerie not only because of the difference in the arc of moon rise, but also how it created nighttime shadows as I moved around in the darkness.
The night before this photograph, I saw the shadow of a wild animal nearby our camp. The next morning, we came face to face with this animal; a coyote who had likely been hanging around all night as we slept.
Strange full moon energy.
