‘Asymmetry - the Twin’ considers the intricate balance between form and perception.
Aesthetically, it is an abstraction of a ‘child in the womb’ inspired by the work of Bridget Riley and aims to encourage the viewer to contemplate their humanity.
We are born ‘perfect’ and as you gaze upon this you may find yourself questioning the very essence of your being and uncovering questions to better understand your human experience.
It is in that contemplation that we consider who we are and what has influenced us.
My intention is to allow you to sit with the work and explore it as you consider the complexities of life and how you shape your perceptions.
