Inspired by my firecracker of a little grandmother Tetsuko who left japan in world war II for Paris because of the war. Not knowing a person, the language and enduring trauma along the way, she not only survived but thrived as a creative fashion designer and a lover of life, french Jazz, and family. This piece, on the tail end of women's history month is a celebration of all the ladies in the world just like her who make a splash, change the world, and do it with style even when there are those out there that say they can't.
