Fractals are part of the algorithmic art which is a subset of the generative one.
According to common understanding and in colloquial language with chaos we illustrate the absence of any pattern. If we increase or decrease the distance (it is a question of scale), we will find that the chaos has a form and from its very beginning follows a specific sequence.
Many objects in nature have an approximate fractal structure. There are also opinions that everything in the world around us can be called a fractal.
In art, fractals can be modified directly through program code or a graphical interface. The artist decides for himself whether to collaborate with the algorithms or leave the whole process to them.
For myself, at this stage, I can say that I prefer human intervention. In my opinion, the results of this interaction still exceed the individual approach of both humans and machines.
