Adam was an ordinary hard worker, like his father and his father's father. He worked at the mine, although it was more of a slow suicide - inhuman working conditions, coal dust, constant accidents - few of the miners lived to be 30 years old. But this was not enough for Adam, so he dragged his hard-earned pennies to a brothel, where he bought a joyless imitation of love. Syphilis, gonorrhea and a dozen more sores, coupled with exhausting mining work, quickly turned Adam into a living skeleton. After his death, Adam did not regret anything, would not want to change anything, and only regretted the impossibility of getting to know the ghosts of women better. I was very sad to look at him because he was a man who lived a meaningless life without a goal, without drawing any conclusions even after death.
