Tick-tock, as volcanoes hum a song so sweet,
Rivers halt, no longer tasting the fleet,
You, akin to them. Yet I, a crow alone,
No glass to shatter, in this realm I've grown.
A tale of yore, where sunlight used to gleam,
I sing where crows soar, in this quiet dream.
I sing, I sing, I sing, with wings unfurled,
A melody that echoes in the underworld.
Someone shot, aiming fear, a piercing dart,
Yet I remain perched, steadfast, in my part.
I'm not like them, I'm a crow, free to roam,
As birds take flight, I find solace in home.
The city hushes, heeding to its demise,
But I soar high, beneath the shadowed skies.
