What's the deal with geese?

For Dmitri Cherniak, it all started with his Ringers #879, also known as "The Goose," a project he has been working on and has become quite famous. Initially, people were amazed by the statistical improbability of Ringers being able to create something that looked so much like a goose given the parameters and randomness of the generative outputs.

However, over time, "The Goose" has become a symbol for the community, a meme that represents something much larger than itself. Although Ringers wasn't originally intended to be a PFP project, turning The Goose into one now feels fitting, as it acknowledges that our art is part of a much bigger movement.

Dmitri created a unique software that can be accessed through a web browser at http://goosegenerator.com. The software generates 10x10 pixel grids, which users can customize by selecting an honorary profile picture that best represents them.
