Through this work of crypto-engraving I seek a different vision of space and form in order to question the boundaries between digital and physical art.

My creative process is as follows:
Firstly, I make a study on a physical medium. The study is then scanned to be digitally reworked.
The computer processing follows steps of posterization, vectorization and extrusion, creating unique 3D engraved supports.
These engravings are then stacked. The front view of this stacking allows to obtain shadows and give depth to the model. In profile, stratifications appears. This first step offers an expressionist rendering which is then reworked by neural networks.
The resulting prints that most closely correspond to the preliminary physical study are again reworked by vectorization and extrusion.
Thus, the expressionist style disappears to make room for a new art style, which I call crypto-engraving.
