This week was about letting go of control. I’ve been working on mix review sessions for some songs off of my upcoming EP. Thus far I’ve always mixed my music because mixing is really an art form and I’m SUPER particular about it.

For the first time in a long time I’ve decided to work with another engineer to mix my songs. Letting go of control is so tough when you’re invested in every part of the artistic process. But also a necessary step in order for me to increase my output and focus on what I do best.

You can’t do everything on your own if you want to scale. This is my first step in building a creative team of people I can trust with the vision.

One day we’ll look back at this MM journal entry and reflect on how far we’ve come as a team. This is just the beginning.
