The 2004 summer Olympics was the last venue to use an outdoor pool for its swimming events and to this day it is still used by many locals. Swimming has a rich and long history in Greece making it very popular throughout the country, but also very competitive. For many young Greeks who have dreams of Gold, this is their training ground.
