When a star runs out of fuel, its iron core implodes in a fraction of a second and then explodes in a supernova event. This spreads 10's of thousands of Earth volumes of heavy elements into space to later cool and clump by gravity to form rocks, planets and life. Everything we know, including us, are in fact, made of this material.

The Universe was looks at itself, approvingly. It needs a record of this miracle.

KEEPERS OF THE LIGHT

Photography was manifested to capture space-time events for future consciousnesses to gaze upon and ponder. The photograph describes these events, the positions of photons reflecting off of matter, 13.7 billion years after their inception. The heavy elements from exploding stars, iron, silver, platinum and gold are used to capture photon energy at the image plane on film and transfer it to paper.
