Art throughout human existence is perhaps one of the few original manifestations of our species that differentiates us from other natural beings. Our ability to create and be enchanted by what we create I consider one of the most outstanding characteristics of our humanity.
This headless bust represents to me our imperfection as creators. We will always be incomplete in what we do, even when we try our best and achieve great success. All our accomplishments will be judged in time and just like this sculpture, destiny is to be incomplete. Not as an imperfect final form, but to remind us that we must always move and continue to strive for perfection in everything we do.
