Among the sculptures and works of art scattered around the Botanical Garden of Rio de Janeiro, we have a water fountain with the image of Tethys, the Greek goddess, nymph of the sea and mother of Achilles.
The photo was taken by an analog camera on B&W film developed in a chemical process, later scanned and treated in imaging software.
Interesting to observe this goddess associated with the sea represented in a water source inside a forest park. The park has several small watercourses and small lakes where aquatic plants adorn and coexist in harmony with other larger species.
Perhaps we human beings still have a lot to learn from nature and its harmony. And who knows a little Greek history will help and better understand this relationship.
