The concept of simulation refers to the process of creating representations or models of reality that may bear little or no resemblance to the original. These simulations can be seen as copies without an original, lacking referential connection to any underlying reality.

Simulacra, on the other hand, are the resultant copies or imitations that appear to be more real or significant than the reality they seek to represent. They are hyperreal constructs that have replaced the reality they were meant to depict.
