The scientific name of the crested ibis is Nipponia Nippon. As the name implies, it is a bird that symbolizes Japan. This bird has recovered from extinction. The kanji "日本" means "under the sun". The solar eclipse represents the current state of Japan. The sun will soon be full, just as the two crested ibises flying over the torii have revived. I made this work in the hope that Japan will develop further in the future.
