A Beautiful tornado rips through the cornfields of central Iowa on July 14th, 2021. This tornado was in progress for well over 22 minutes, which is an eternity for a tornado. This tornado, rated an EF1 with winds near 100mph, was backlit through the end of its life creating a vividly white tornado with a dark brown and green debris cloud as it shredded earth and corn. I was anywhere from 50 meters to 400 meters from this tornado for the entire life span. At the time of this shot, I was about 300 meters from the tornado. Shooting with an ultra-wide-angle, I was able to capture its raw power and beauty. It was one of the greatest tornadoes I have ever chased in my many years and counting and a very special piece to me.
