One of my favorite images to date... Deep Dive was shot on 35mm film an hour off of Tulum's coast in the middle of the Caribbean Sea. I put myself on an inflatable flamingo and drifted off to the side of the boat. I knew in order for the image to turn out the way I wanted It to, the composition would need to be perfect. That being said, I was at terms with the fact that I was floating around in the ocean desperately trying to keep my camera dry and that perfection wasn't on my side. I had Eddy and Victoria get on the side of the boat, gave them the green light to jump, held the shutter release, and left the rest to the universe. When I got back to LA and developed the film, I instantly sifted through a thousand photos to see if "It worked." To my pleasant surprise It did. I knew immediately this needed to be my first 1/1.
