Carl Rogers might not be as well known as Jung or Freud but he made many important contributions to psychology. Rogers believed that the therapist should aim to be a friend to the client and that humanity is positive, healthy and capable of growing and realising its potential. Carl Rogers reminds me of the pokemon Slowpoke. Slowpoke appears to be slow and dim compare but has incredible psychic power. Just how it is unwise to underestimate Slowpoke in battle, so students of Jung and Freud shouldn't dismiss the work of Rogers.
