She stands by the window,
deep in thought and despair,
Wondering where he is, if he's safe, if he cares.
She misses him dearly, and prays for his return,
To hold him close again, and have their love burn.
But until that day comes, she'll sit and wait,
Gazing out at the city, her heart filled with fate.
