Blowing Rock is a quaint and charming village nestled within the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Ski resorts are located just outside Blowing Rock where my son and I went on a weekend ski trip with friends. Cool mountain streams run through this quiet mountain town into small lakes and there are hiking trails through the green forests.

Isaiah 55:10 As the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater.

The Lord put it in my heart during a time when I can look outside and actually see His promise in action! Then in the Lord's timing, He woke up the trees, the grass, all that had been watered all winter long began to come to life. The rain and snow did not come without purpose. God does the same thing in our lives.
