'Cascade'
Portland, Dorset, England
Artist - Michael Hartley
A solitary rock stands in an energetic tidal pool, lit by sparking sunlight. Seawater rushes off the surrounding rocks, creating mini waterfalls.
A three second exposure turns the swirling water a misty white, the static rock keeping it's strong greys, making a beautiful contrast.
This scene was found at Portland Bill, part of the Jurassic Coast. This 95-mile stretch of coastline is located on the South coast of England. It is a World Heritage Site, known for geology, fossils and impressive views.
