It was hard for my mind to comprehend what my eyes were seeing; I almost felt as if I was in a lucid dream. The Malarrif Lighthouse stood proud against a stunning aurora backdrop, casting its reflection in a calm pool of water. I felt connected to this historical spot at that moment in time, and could only imagine what it must have been like in the early days. To the man who operates this lighthouse, it's just another night. He is after all, the Keeper of the North.
