This piece was created to celebrate a huge transition in my life from full-time to freelance work. After my first freelance gig, I spent a week in Tokyo, Japan. The experience was filled with many great memories, but this small third story restaurant in Shinjuku is one of my favorites. The brown and gold interior, the wonderful aromas, and above all, this bowl of authentic ramen.
