“That moment when you burn yourself in the eye with your lighter.”

A painful realization moment can come in many forms.

All fun and games — but here’s my story:
Smoking, yeah… I LOVED IT. But some things just have to come to an end.

In 2019 I told myself and my wife: “I’m going to cold-turkey quit smoking at my Bday in February 2020!" Which I did, I quit smoking after being addicted for 10 years. Win!!

Shortly after, I threw out my back during a workout,. I could not go to a chiropractor for months because of the pandemic. This was probably the most painful experience ever happening to me over a longer period of time — and I’ve been recovering ever since.

It’s been over a year now but it still hurts, it’s still uncomfortable. Quitting smoking made me feel great about myself, but my back has been mentally draining me this past year.

I guess we just need to live in the moment and enjoy what we have, things can have a dark twisted turn. Enjoy the ride while you can!
