The human becomes fictional. The mannequin, a liminal figure, inhabits an ambiguous threshold: it looks human, but it is not. It is an empty presence, mistakenly recognized as a real body.
As Rosi Braidotti writes in The Posthuman:
“The image of the human has become a floating node, an unstable symbolic interface.”
I contaminate the algorithmic gaze with non-hegemonic contexts, injecting it with simulated bodies, plastic fictions, desired errors.
