Gumzilla was created by me in 2014 when a 5 lb gummy bear was received as a gift. The image was posted, shared by a friend of mine and then, somehow came to the attention of Wil Wheaton where it was shared on his Tumblr. From there it went viral, spawned several other gummy image iterations and still pops up today.
