Twenty artworks by two artists in this exhibition are a tribute to the well known musical trio, Khruanbin. Who have influenced our own works and lives, in one way or another. Admittedly, none of us is a hardcore khru, if anything, perhaps “devout listener” is a more appropriate description for both Mahendra Nazar and Rukmunal Hakim. Nevertheless, that is the beauty of listening to music. Most times, you don’t have to worry about names, languages, lyrics and other order of operations that you can’t remember because what matters is how the sound makes you feel, the sensations you get from those buzzing funky beats, the voice that gives you chill and takes you back to a particular moment in time. There is always value in the memories that stand out.

In these exhibition, you will find the physical conversion of these memories and sensations evoked by the mellow, intricate melodies. Like the musical composition itself, the visual artworks are abstract, with figurative elements that are open for multi interpretations. There are no particular rules followed in producing these series of illustrations. If there are questions about its meanings and intentions, then actually there is no specific answer.
