“Raquel grew up with a pencil glued to her hand in Madrid, Spain. She is an international fine artist and illustrator, a member of the 'Association of Illustrators' in London.”
After gaining her degree in Fine Arts and a master's in Visual Arts Education, she has participated in exhibitions in Spain, the UK, the USA, Japan, the UAE, Venezuela, Cuba, Brazil, Portugal, and Colombia.
Her art style features detailed and delicate images with a recurrent female presence, as well as an atmosphere of nature and light, surreal touches. Her art practice is mainly defined by the use of watercolor, pencils, ink, and digital media. However, she enjoys using multiple experimental techniques and likes bouncing between different approaches in her work.
Her collectors and community describe her work as delicate, peaceful, and elegant. She wishes to take them to a place of contemplation, fantasy, and beauty.
For this exhibition, she is presenting works from her collection 'Whispers of Strength':
In a world often focused on outward achievements, 'Whispers of Strength' underscores the importance of inner growth and resilience.
This collection emphasizes the value of cultivating mental discipline and emotional fortitude.
I'm a fan of martial arts. They remind us that true strength emanates from the whispers of determination that arise from within.
This painting captures a moment suspended in time, a mystical dance between a person and the energy of the water. As she connects with her inner self, the Dragon—a shimmering embodiment of the untamed power of water—coils in silent reverence to the sorceress who summoned it forth. The atmosphere crackles with a blend of tension and serenity, a symphony of elements converging in a visual crescendo.
'Inner Dragon' is an invitation to summon the Dragon Energy within yourself, releasing blocks to the authentic expression of personal power.
Materials: Watercolor and colored pencils on paper.
Dimensions: 3508 × 4749 px
“I hope that these artworks invite viewers to explore the synergy between seemingly contradictory aspects of their lives and find balance.”
