Mint Details

Each mint gets a bouquet 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡 𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟖𝟎𝐱𝟏𝟓𝟔𝟎 𝟒:𝟑 𝐩𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐭 𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞

If you take 4-5 lopsided ellipses and rotate them around a circle, the resulting motif we all collectively agree to call a flower 🏵️.

Across cultures, start noticing and you'll see this simple shape permeating everything - textiles, tiles, architecture, etc in all of its different forms. This is how children naturally draw too. This has plagued my mind for the past 7 months, and I set out to capture it in all of its variety with the medium I know best - maths and code.

With 9 color palettes and 12+ brush types the system first defines a species with common brush type and palette possibilities. It then zooms in to the society layer, each flower observing, finding space to grow while avoiding overlapping, conflict along with variation in range, distribution, branching patterns etc. Now zooming into the individuality of a flower, we zoom in and find variation in shape, number of petals, size - no two are alike.

But the artwork had other plans in mind - took me to a whole another journey. Months and months of observing and absorbing this intricacy resulted in - a film, some articles, a free mint collection and a lot of videos. Now this here is the Finale, phoools in its final form.
