My studio window ledge holds tiny bird skulls blown on shore to dry, and last years seed heads. It is home to vintage tin toys, children’s books, buttons, rusty beach finds, half empty coffee cups, long forgotten water jars, a record player, my precious LPs, old magazines torn for collage, unfinished work and my deaf collie. Thankfully, Fizz dog cannot hear me singing, but he takes me out to walk every day, every season, all weather. An island on my doorstep waiting to share its secrets.
