i first read Ellison’s 'i have no mouth and i must scream' more than 45 years ago, it gave me nightmares. it gives me nightmares still. 

that story was my introduction to AI.

and i now find myself peering into these disturbing visions from the mind of AI and wonder:

what happens if the AI's formative experiences are all Web based (all of humanity’s dirty little dark secrets , our ‘collective unconscious’) ?

what kind of monster might emerge ?
