The Sapphires is a captivating collection of stories set in the grim Sombro city. 

Sapphires were once human criminals who were cursed by an ancient artefact, which gave them an insatiable thirst for profit and an unbreakable resilience to bullets. Also their heads becomes increasingly skull-like based on the crimes they committed. This is why townspeople dubbed them sapphires.
