The scariest moment I have ever captured, taken during an intense and rare lightning storm on Vancouver Island, BC, Canada. It's always been a dream of mine to photograph lightning. So when we started seeing these bolts flashing across the sky, I knew this was the chance I was waiting for. We went down to the beach and setup. It didn't take long before I realized I foolishly set us up in the middle of the storm. Moments later, this massive bolt struck less than 1km away... We left right after.
