In the year 2000, a highly destructive computer worm known as the "ILOVEYOU" virus emerged. It spread through email with the subject line "ILOVEYOU" and an attachment named "LOVE-LETTER-FOR-YOU.txt.vbs." When users opened the attachment, the worm overwrote files, stole passwords, and sent itself to all contacts in the victim's address book, causing widespread disruption. It affected millions of computers globally, leading to an estimated $15 billion in damages. The virus exploited human curiosity and trust, making it a notorious example of social engineering.

The source code for this infamous malware was incorporated in multiple ways in this audiovisual work, including being used as a seed for randomized glitches throughout the piece. A custom-coded Python script was used to generate all visualizations. All sound design and production were performed by XERBEROS.
