The beautiful vermilion-lacquered Shinbashi Bridge, which is suitable for decorating the front gateway to the holy city of Nikko, was called "Gobashi" or "Yamasuge no Hebabashi" in the past, and was designated as a national important cultural property of Nikko Futaarayama Shrine, and was registered as a World Heritage in December 1999.
