During golden hour, the light is spectacular, bathing everything in a beautiful, golden hue. In fact, that's my favorite light to shoot on the beach.

I've been shooting at sunset in Rio de Janeiro for over 10 years, seeking decisive moments, people having fun and good vibes. I usually wait until golden hour to head out, simply because the quality of light during this time of day is arguably second to none.

This lighting is ideal for a number of different types of photography – portraits, landscapes, lifestyle, and more – due to the fact that the light illuminates everything beautifully in a soft, golden color.

In 'Ipanema Golden Hour' photo, a strong sea air on the beach allowed me to highlight the silhouettes even more.
