The Bunda Cliffs are located in Southern Australia (SA) between the Great Australian Bight and the Nullarbor Plain. These limestone cliffs stretch for approximately 100 km / 60 miles and the cliffs reach 100 m / 400 ft high and are among the longest uninterrupted line of sea cliffs in the world. The layers of white, gray and brown limestone and crystalline rock are quite prominent.
Southern Right Whales are visible from the cliffs between late May and October, particularly at Head of Bight where there is a whale watching center with viewing platforms at a birthing site.
