Emotions are something all humans experience. However, like most things, they are also gendered by society. Sadness, hurt, and the other "weaker" seeming emotions are associated with women. Anger & aggression are mostly associated with men. Wrath stands up for itself. Wrath demands change. Which means, wrath in women is undesirable since women are supposed to be subservient & "know their place". The common narrative that says women are emotional & men are not refuses to acknowlege that anger is also an emotion. Yet, an angry woman is despised, even demonized, when it's a perfectly acceptable state of being for men.
