May 5th is Children's Day.

I have come to see carps that are hung on riverbeds in Japan and swim comfortably this year as well. These are carp shaped streamers called "Koinobori".
Carps of various colors brightly color the sky.

What she has in her hand is an iris flower, which is used as a plant to prevent evil on Children's Day.
I pray that the children will grow up healthy.

5月5日は端午の節句です。

河川敷などで吊るされ、気持ちよさそうに泳ぐ鯉幟を今年も見かけるようになりました。
様々な色の鯉は、空を鮮やかに彩ります。

彼女が持っているのは、端午の節句に厄除けの植物として使われる菖蒲の花です。
子どもたちが健やかに成長することを祈っています。
