The world looks quite different when fog, snow and ice engulfs your surroundings. I framed this image while standing in knee-deep snow near Abbe Creek, on a cold January morning.

What struck me was the pristine beauty and stillness of an otherwise bleak landscape, where the true shapes and essence of nature unfolded before me.
