Summer 2020

My ex-partner Amelia Zadro is writing her morning pages on the balcony at Lake Como, Italy. When I saw this, I felt immediately captivated by the scene and reached for my old Nikon. I was discreet and quiet as I didn’t want to spoil her natural pose and expression.

It was a special moment. Special also because it was our first breath of spaciousness and freedom after being constricted to our home for four months. To find ourselves, all of a sudden, in a sensual paradise felt simply surreal. I have no knowledge of what she wrote in that moment and that will remain a mystery. What I do know is that it played its role in her own creative process of bringing wonderful things into this world.
