Why we say time flies?

Anxiety, happiness, anger, excitement or even alcohol and drugs, every single emotion or brain intoxication has a huge impact on time perception and interpretation on how we move through time.

This might indicate that time is no more than an illusion we created to maintain certain control and order in society, and so controlling our own lives. This is no different from the illusion humans created with the concept of money. We can probably say that time, just like money, only exists if we actually believe it does.

Anyway, it doesn’t really matters anymore if time exists or if it is just a social construct, we just can’t get enough of it. But, we also need it to move as fast as possible when we are in the verge of an accomplishment or in pain. This two-sided story appears to be part of our life since we got any consciousness.
