Surrounded by light fog, 2 Prudential Plaza, the 16th tallest building in the world, resembled Gotham City when I captured it at dusk back in April 2019. The ability to create something that exists outside the bounds of reality is what drew me to aerial photography.

At the time, I was aware something was off with my body but I was also in denial. The best way to forget this nagging feeling, temporarily, was to fly my drone. I would be confronted with a life-altering diagnosis a week later.
