In the middle of the Himalayas, flanked by snowy mountains and a starry sky that seemed to watch over me, I took this picture while trying to sleep in a mountain camp. Though there was no internet or electricity in the Himalayas, I walked out of my tent in freezing temperatures of -2 to -5 degrees and was captivated by the view. It was a spectacular night. After 3 am, when the full moon had set, the sky was studded with stars as bright as a galaxy.
