This piece is a long time inspiration from the mountain top of Haïti. I had just minimally sketched the inside of an agave plant, a huge spiky plant that grows along many of our cliffs, what we call here "pit", from which we get very strong fibers.

The Black dot is that point of highest carbon concentration at the center of our galaxy, the pulling force that attracts and retracts all energies. The parallel here is that Haïti, in its extreme chaos and raw beauty, has repeatedly revealed to be the earth's black dot, skin ripping spikes, dangerous path to navigate through. Yet a sparkling magic bursts out from her Heart center. One element at a time, let the abstraction of what seems so real, take you on a soul journey through intense visuals. This piece required intense focus and mindfulness through the multi-layer process of creating it to a level that energetic frequency is transmitted at a very high level, and that is Haïti at its essence, natural mystic!
