This animation is part of my series “Monuments”, which shows part of the identity of monuments and memorable places.
This voxel art is part of the identity of Fin Garden in Kashan, Esfahan of Iran, which is the oldest surviving Persian garden in Iran.
In this monument, 7 components of the identity of Fin Garden have been magnified:
- The plan of the Fin Garden is a kind of elaborated chahar bagh with a pavilion at the intersection and other buildings are located within the garden.
- As a sample of Persian gardens exhibits a good combination of nature, culture, history, and architecture.
- Water plays a vital role in the design of Fin Garden.
- Tall and old trees are planted along its pathways. (The trees are approximately 100 to 470 years old)
- There are clay pipes one meter beneath all the pools
- mainly located in the heart of deserts
- The eye-catching color of the tiles is in contrast with the color of desert surrounding the garden
