Deep in the snow-covered mountains in the east of elysia, a networks of temples and shrines can be found amongst the peaks. These are relics of the most conservative monks, who left the city of Azarath to be more in touch with the higher powers of elysia. Many of them believed these peaks were the ones upon which the angel metatron would descend on the final day of judgement to record the souls of elysians joining the great dance beyond.

Elysian prayer usually focused on a single angel, offering thanks to them for their power usually followed by a small request or some form of repentance. However, most elysians historically prayed to all angels for blessings in all of their respective domains throughout their lifetimes. Today, faithfulness to the angels has dwindled, as a majority of the human population lives in Aurich where angel worship was forbidden and culturally rejected in anticipation of the angel apollyon’s attack.
