«ART OF MOVING» — diptych of two artworks, in which people in a city and people in nature are contrasted.
What makes people move from day to day? What do people chase?
The first photo shows nomads moving through frozen tundra in Yamal peninsula, Russia.
Their way of life is based on endlessly following their herd of reindeer for thousands of miles. For them the state of moving is a state of comfort — they can move from place to place 100 times a year.
Their children can be born on sledges in -50 degrees. They build their temporary house called “chum” in 40 minutes in every new place.
Northern nomads move entirely according to the laws of nature.
