The name originally inspired by "The Burning Giraffe" by Salvador Dali, with an experimental composition based on my flow/process used for digital abstract & surreal collage work. This digital collage consists of sliced illustrations with minimal alterations, free-to-use stock images, nostalgic screenshots, & overlayed abstract doodles + textures in Photoshop to bring together this chaotic scene.
Daniel Jerome Obispo is a USA-based artist born in 1991, formerly a professional dance choreographer and renowned international dance teacher. After retiring from dance due to chronic pain and severe anxiety symptoms, he turned to art as a form of therapy in 2021. His post-abstraction and surreal scenes are created using digital collage+ digital painting. Inspired by mixed media, surrealism, abstract, expressionism, figurative, and neo-expressionism, Daniel strives to convey emotion and bring a sense of awe through detailed chaos in his art while rebuilding self-esteem and mindfulness.
